WORKSHOP: EMBER

Service Description

In this floorwork class, dancers will be introduced to different shapes, pathways and techniques to build strength and deepen the connection to the floor as an apparatus. From there dancers will learn a sequence that weave these elements together, developing it through musical phrasing, directional changes and dynamic variations.. With guided prompts and stylistic cues, dancers will have space to explore different textures and possibilities with these movements. Dancers are invited to expand beyond the base and transform it into something their own. All levels welcome. Kneepads and socks are required. Leggings are recommended to support the sliding movements.
